Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Coordinator to join SEIU Local 2015. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing a team of system administrators for system and network support. The IT Coordinator will also be responsible for managing Active Directory with hybrid authentication for Azure, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist the IT Director with cyber security implementations, including Fortinet cloud-based firewalls, ZTNA, CASB, and other cloud security implementations. Experience in SDWAN implementations and managing multi-provider circuit environments for distributed sites is also required. The IT Coordinator will also lead the helpdesk team for timely resolution of user support tickets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a Statewide Team of System Administrators:

  • Successfully lead a team of system administrators across multiple locations, ensuring efficient system and network support for all staff members.
  • Manage centralized support ticketing system to streamline the process of managing user support tickets and tracking resolution times.
  • Conducted regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, address any issues, and provide training opportunities for team members.

Manage Active Directory with Hybrid Authentication:

  • Manage and maintain hyper-converged server environment with Active Directory and hybrid authentication for Azure, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Develop and implement group policies to enforce security standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular audits of Active Directory to identify any security vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

Assisting with Cyber Security Implementations

  • Collaborate with the IT Director to implement Fortinet cloud-based firewalls, ZTNA, CASB, and other cloud security solutions to enhance the organization's cyber security posture.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff members on best practices for cyber security, including password management, phishing awareness, and data protection.

Experience in SDWAN Implementations and Managing Multi-Provider Circuit Environments

  • Successfully implement, maintain, and manage SDWAN solutions to optimize network performance and reduce costs.
  • Manage multi-provider circuit environments for distributed sites, ensuring high availability and reliability of network connectivity.
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues related to network connectivity.

SQL Server Management

  • Manage SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve database performance.
  • Conduct, validate, and test regular backups and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.

Leading the Helpdesk Team

  • Lead the helpdesk team in providing timely resolution of user support tickets, ensuring high levels of staff satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the helpdesk team to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling support requests.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provided feedback to helpdesk team members to support their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management.
  • Experience managing a team of system administrators.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory with hybrid authentication for Azure, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with cyber security implementations, including Fortinet cloud-based firewalls, MDR, ZTNA, CASB, and other cloud security implementations.
  • Experience in SDWAN implementations and managing multi-provider circuit environments for distributed sites.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions

Salary Range: $122,949.28 to $129.096.75
